91 - Wine Spectator, June, 2012 - 2009 Ottimino Vineyard Zinfandel.  This dense, richly structured red features blackberry and mocha aromas and ripe supple berry, toasty vanilla and cinnamon-spice flavors. Finishes with jammy, ripe tannins. Drink now through 2018.

92 - Wine Enthusiast,  February 2010 - 2006 Rancho Bello Zinfandel, Years Best,  & Best Buy:  Here is a dry-farmed vineyard on a ridgeabove Green Valley, a warm spot that matures zin into a juicy textural pleasure. This wine has the cool touch of satin andsilk, a weave of pine, strawberry, sweetWilliam and resinous herb. Tannins darkenand firm it up, but the fruit keeps pouringout from behind them. Decant this to let the aromas build, then serve it with grilled rack of lamb. 1,089 cases) Ottimino, Occidental, CA

92 -  Wine Enthusiast, October 2011 - 2007 Von Weidlich Vineyard Zinfandel :         Shows a delicate texture, almost Pinot Noir-like in lightness, yet offers a blast of berry, spice, tobacco, cola and bacon favors that are lusty and ripe. The grapes come from the Green Valley, and the alcohol is low while acidity is high. Beautiful and classy, a Zin to drink with everything from salmon and steak to tuna and short ribs - S.H. $36 abv:13.9%

92 -  Wine Enthusiast, October 2011 - 2007 Ottimino Estate Vineyard ZinfandelClassic Russian River Zinfandel. The vineyard is in the Green Valley, and the wine has the wonderful attributes of ripeness, dryness, and acidity, without high alcohol. It's enourmously flavorful delivering waves of blackberries, cherries, cola, red licorice, bacon, black pepper and sweet oak. A gorgeous Zin showing class and elegance. Editors Choice - S.H. $28 abv 14.4%

91 - Connoisseurs Guide to California Wine, September 2011, 2007 Biglieri Vineyard, Dry Creek Valley.  Deep and defined, optimally ripened blackberry fruit is joined in the developing aromas of this complex Zin by a distinctive note of dusty soil spice, and the ensuing flavors reflect the same. A trim bit of tannin lends structural spine and neatly placed acids keep things agile, and all the while persistent fruit is the force that drives this one through to a very long finish. If a little more wine than simple tomatoey pastas might want, it should shine with richer Bolognese meat sauces.

90 - Wine Enthusiast, August 2011, 2007 Biglieri Vineyard, Dry Creek Valley. A classic Dry Creek Zinfandel, dry, medium-bodied and spicey, with wild berry fruitand that inimitable briary note to the mouthful. Really pleasant, with rich, ripe berry, licorice and cedar flavors. Ideal with barbecue.
